KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Monday, July 20, 2020) -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the 2019-20 NABC Honors Court, recognizing more than 1,350 men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. Salve Regina University men's basketball has once again earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award and the Seahawks had five players qualify for the NABC Honors Court.

Salve Regina lands 83 on Academic All-Conference Team

NEWPORT, R.I. (June 29, 2020) - Salve Regina University has landed 82 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2019-20 Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Team, announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

NEWPORT, R.I. (February 25, 2020) - Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball trailed by eight at the half (42-34) before opening the second half on an historic 35-1 run to knock out Salve Regina University in first round of the 2020 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2019-20 Men’s Basketball All-Conference Teams and major award winners Monday afternoon. There were eighteen All-Conference student-athletes, including four from Western New England, which had the most selections. Salve Regina University’s Tyler Benjamin (Fitchburg, Mass.) was this year’s CCC Scholar-Athlete.

Benjamin, Bronstein bring their best on Senior Day

NEWPORT, R.I. (February 22, 2020) - Salve Regina University seniors Tyler Benjamin (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Andrew Bronstein (Needham, Mass.) posted career bests in points (21) and assists (11), respectively, to lead the Seahawks to a come-from-behind 68-63 victory over Wentworth Institute of Technology in the final regular season men's basketball game of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

Seahawks sweep Scots in season series to bolster postseason hopes

NEWPORT, R.I. (February 15, 2020) - Salve Regina University junior guard Kevin Kelly (Valhalla, N.Y.) made nine of 12 field goal attempts and finished with a team-high 25 points as the Seahawks defeated the visiting Fighting Scots of Gordon College, 96-77, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

Seahawks ride record-setting shooting percentage to road victory

BEVERLY, Mass. (February 11, 2020) -- Salve Regina University junior forward Cameron Collins (Oakdale, Conn.) scored a game-high 34 points and the Seahawks equalled a program-record shooting percentage (66.7%; 32-48) to defeat Endicott College, 98-89, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Spencer spins record 43 points in Seahawk win

NEWPORT, R.I. (January 28, 2020) -- Salve Regina University sophomore Mikey Spencer (Abington, Mass.) set a school record with 43 points and tied a school record with nine 3-pointers to lead the Seahawks to a 97-86 win in non-conference action against visiting Connecticut College at the Rodgers Recreation Center. Spencer's point total is the most at the Seahawks' home facility by any player since it opened in November 2000.
