Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University scored the game's first basket in the first minute and never trailed en route to a 90-52 win over Curry College in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at the Rodgers Recreation Center. The Seahawks (9-16, 5-11 CCC) reach 90 points for the fourth time this season which comes to an end after coming out on the short end of a three-way tie with University of New England and Wentworth Institute of Technology for the final two playoff spots. Salve Regina split with the Nor'easters and Leopards in the regular season.

The Seahawks own a 39-26 advantage in the all-time series, and Salve Regina has won the last eight meetings consecutively. Curry (1-24, 0-16 CCC) loses its 14th consecutive game and finishes winless in the league.

  1. Salve Regina freshman Mikey Spencer (Abington, Mass.) scored a game-high 24 points on nine field goals, four 3-pointers, and two free throws.
  2. Salve Regina sophomore Cameron Collins (Oakdale, Conn.) also had nine field goals to total 18 points.
  3. Salve Regina senior Kevin Mannix (Barrington, R.I.) led all players with 11 rebounds (10 defensive caroms), and added seven points and four assists.

No lead changes and no ties. Salve Regina outscored Curry, 30-2, on turnovers. The Seahawks dominated in the paint, 56-18.
