Four Seahawks score in double digits in 15-point road loss

WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Salve Regina in CCC play and had four players score in double-digits in its 81-66 win.

The Fighting Scots (9-5, 5-2 CCC) started the game on a 24-10 run in the first ten minutes of action for a 14-point lead. They stretched the lead out to 28 points with 3:08 left in the first half before the Seahawks (6-9, 3-5 CCC) cut the lead down to 19 points with a 10-1 run to make it a 42-23 game at halftime.

Eric Demers scored 15 points in the first half. Garrisson Duvivier grabbed ten rebounds, scored nine points, and blocked three shots. Jaren Yang scored seven points, dished out three assists, and recorded three steals.

Gordon stretched the lead back out to 20 points at the start of the second half before Salve Regina cut the lead down to 12 points with a 11-3 run. They were able to cut the lead down to 11 points with 1:26 left, but the Fighting Scots outscored them 7-3 the rest of the way to seal the victory.

Salve Regina also had four players score in double-digits - freshmen Cameron Collins (Oakdale, Conn.) and Stephen Natola (Exeter, N.H.) netted 18 and 11 points, respectively, while senior Rodney Morton (Malden, Mass.) finished with 17 and junior Isaiah Bowman (Roxbury, Mass.) scored 16 points.

Demers finished with 26 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Duvivier recorded his third straight double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Yang scored 15 points, dished out eights assists, and recorded four steals. Jake Haar scored 11 points and three of his four made shots were three-pointers.
