Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's basketball senior Nicholas Bates (Danvers, Mass.) scored a career-high 34 points while grabbing 17 rebounds for his 14th double-double of the season, but Nichols College defeated the Seahawks, 97-79, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

Bison sophomore Marcos Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) scored 19 of his team-high 27 points in the first half as Nichols led by 19 at the break, 49-30.
