NEWPORT, R.I. - Senior Jaylen Owens (Johns Creek, Ga.) led all players with 21 points as Eastern Nazarene College salvaged a split in the season series with Salve Regina University, winning 79-69 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

Series and Streaks
Salve Regina owns a 24-21 mark in the all-time series. Eastern Nazarene started out the season with nine straight victories, before losing six of their next 11, including an 83-74 setback to Salve Regina on January 5.

1 – Eastern Nazarene senior Jaylen Owens (Johns Creek, Ga.) - led all players with 21 points including three of four from 3-point range. Owens added two assists and three steals.
2 – Eastern Nazarene senior Lequan Gomes (Fairfield, Calif.) - posted a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
3 – Salve Regina sophomore Bryce Boggs (Hyde Park, Mass.) - led the Seahawks with 18 points on eight of 15 from the floor and both free throw attempts.

Key Stat of the Game
Despite outrebounding the visitors by 14 (45 to 31) and collecting 15 offensive boards, Salve Regina did not capitalize with corresponding frequency on the second-chance opportunities - ENC (13), SRU (15).

Turning Point
A 3-pointer by Kevin Mannix (Barrington, R.I.) brought the Seahawks within one (59-58) with 8:07 to play. The Lions went on a 9-1 run over a four-minute stretch.
