NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has landed 46 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) 2014-15 Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Team, announced Friday, June 5 by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Junior point guard Barrett Hanlon (Hopkinton, R.I.) broke a 56-56 deadlock with a 10-foot jumper on the wing with five seconds remaining, and Salve Regina University men's basketball survived a buzzer-beating game-winning attempt by Mike Gelineau (Waltham, Mass.) to defeat visiting Western New England University, 58-56, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

Scots pull away to defeat Seahawks in Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's basketball won the rebounding battle (37 to 35) against the nation's No. 1 ranked team in rebound margin, Gordon College at +12.0 rebounds per game, but the Scots won the scoring battle, 67-50, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

Rodgers Recreation Center, built in 2000, will be site for two CCC basketball games (12 and 2 p.m.) on Saturday.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Junior Devin Thompson (Winthrop, Mass.) and freshman Drew Coveney (Londonderry, N.H.) both scored a game-high 22 points as visiting University of New England men's basketball rallied from down 18 in the first half to win, 89-78, over Salve Regina University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Rodgers Recreation Center Saturday afternoon (Feb. 7).

Walker runs up career-high in OT victory

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott sophomore guard Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) forced overtime with three-pointer with 4.4 seconds remaining in regulation, scored seven points in the extra period, and in the process dropped a career-high 30 points as Endicott defeated CCC opponent Salve Regina 82-78 in overtime Tuesday night.

BOSTON, Mass. - Salve Regina scored the next four points and took an 8-7 lead after a freshman Bryce Boggs (Hyde Park, Mass.) layup less than two minutes later.
