Summary
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Visiting Endicott College got five goals and two assists from Kristen McCarthy (Danvers, Mass.) to defeat the Salve Regina University field hockey team 10-3 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday night.
Three Stars of the Game
- Endicott junior Kristen McCarthy accounted for half of the Gulls scoring output.
- Endicott freshman Abby Carter (Richmond, Vt.) opened the games scoring with her first collegiate goal. Her second capped the Gulls scoring for the night in the 67th minute.
- Endicott sophomore Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) made 10 saves to improve to 12-3 between the pipes this season.
Turning Point
After Taylor Bulis (Lakeville, Mass.) scored at 4:05 to tie the game 1-1, the Gulls went on an 8-0 scoring run spanning 20 minutes of game-time.
Quick Hits
- Ally Daly (Peabody, Mass.) made three saves in 46:40 of action to drop to 7-8 in net. She was replaced by Olivia Butler (Sandy Hook, Conn.) who did not make a save in 23:20 of action.
- Three different Seahawks scored in the game. Bulis, Tori Bickel (Harleysville, Pa.), and Ashley Cody (Pawling, N.Y.) who continues to lead the CCC in goals scored (28).
- The Gulls outshot the Seahawks 23-17.
