BEVERLY, Mass. – No. 30 Endicott suffered a pair of home losses to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rival Salve Regina University on Saturday afternoon on North Field.
GAME ONE: Salve Regina 8, No. 30 Endicott 3
Salve Regina freshman Anthony Cieszko (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) cracked a three-run homer to cap off a six-run bottom of the third for the Seahawks that also included a two-RBI single by Colton Eremian (Boca Raton, Fla.) and a RBI single by Zack Smith (New Canaan, Conn.).
The Seahawks got a strong starting pitching performance out of sophomore Patrick Maybach (Saunderstown, R.I.) who threw six innings and allowed three earned runs on nine hits and three walks with six strikeouts. Maybach improved to 3-3 on the year.
Salve Regina got a pair of RBIs from sophomore Dylan Ketch (Clinton, Conn.) in the top of the first to get on the board first. Endicott was able to score in their first trip to the plate on a Michael Casciano (Somers, Conn.) sacrifice fly that scored Brad Rebello (Bellingham, Mass.).
Trailing 8-1, the Gulls would score in both the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings thanks to a RBI infield single by Hunter Boyce (Bangor, Maine) and a bases loaded walk by Matthew McKinley (Hudson, N.H.).
Gulls senior lefty Will Ferreira (Nantucket, Mass.) took the loss (3-3) while sophomore Alexander Zaiser (Naples, Fla.) pitched four shutout innings in relief.
GAME TWO: Salve Regina 12, Endicott 3
Salve Regina scored five times in the top of the first inning en route to a 12-3 victory for the Seahawks in game two. Ketch and senior Alex Perry (No. Attleboro, Mass.) each had two RBIs apiece while Perry crossed home plate four times to lead the Salve Regina lineup.
Cieszko, Michael DeFusco (East Greenwich, R.I.), and John Militano (Miller Place, N.Y.) each scored twice.
Seahawks junior pitcher Will Ginsberg (Sharon, Mass.) came on in relief of starter Jimmy Fitzgerald (Canton, Mass.) and threw three shutout innings for the win (2-2).
For Endicott, Casciano stroked a two-run shot over the left field wall in the bottom of the fourth and one inning later, senior second baseman Michael DeDonato (Chelmsford, Mass.) hit a RBI single up the middle to account for the Gulls only offensive production.

No. 30 Endicott (17-10, 5-5 CCC) travels to Nichols on Sunday for a conference doubleheader starting at noon. Salve Regina (16-10, 7-3 CCC) travels to Southern Maine tomorrow for a 1:00 PM first pitch.
