Alyssa Ricci '99 - a two-sport standout, Ricci still holds the all-time scoring record for women’s basketball (1,578 points); she was the first women’s basketball player to reach 1,000-point milestone by junior season; her final game was one for the record books – 43 points including eight 3-pointers (2/23/99); later that spring, Ricci earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year honors in softball as she led the Seahawks to the league championship; Ricci was an all-conference player in both sports all four years; she earned the school’s female athlete of the year honor in 1998 and 1999; a smooth-fielding shortstop, Ricci set the single-season record for assists (112) in 1998; she graduated with the highest career batting average and slugging percentage.
