Seahawks see their first NEWMAC Championships

NORTHAMPTON, Mass -- Women's cross country traveled to Smith College for the NEWMAC Championships on Saturday for the team's first championships as a member of the conference.

Isabella Hastings, who has been the top Seahawk finisher at every race this fall continued her success at today's competition. Hastings placed 26th with a time of 24:54.1 for 6,000-meters. Anna Weygang was the next Seahawk to cross the finish line. Weygang placed 43rd with a time of 25:28.4. 

The Seahawks came in eight out of 12 teams at their first NEWMAC Championships with a score of 216. The top finishing program was Massachusetts Institute of Technology, however the top finisher of the day, Grace Hadley, represented Worcester Polytechnic Institute and ran a time of 22:18.7.
