NEWPORT, R.I. - Men's and women's cross country runners finishing in the top ten at their respective races in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships earn all-league distinction. For Salve Regina University, that honor belongs to senior Olivia Wilson (Bethel, Conn.) and junior Alex Demeo (Burlington, Mass.) who finished second and tenth overall, respectively, in the women's race.

For both Seahawks, it marks their first appearance in the top ten at the conference championships which ended 100 meters longer than orginally planned.

Wilson finished as runner-up in the field of 102 to earn her spot on the All-CCC Team. The captain ran in third for much of the 6,100-meter race before passing Sarah Mawdsley of Roger Williams University in the final 300 meters. Demeo finished tenth, earning the last spot on the all-conference team.
