Turning Point
The teams split the first two sets and the Nor'easters built a 18-10 lead in the third set.A quick 3-0 run for Salve Regina, aided by two Nor'easter errors, forced a timeout to try and slow down any momentum, but it did not stop the Seahawks. Cassidy Trabilcy (Phoenix, Ariz.) knocked in a kill, and then another UNE error set up Salwa for a service ace. Annie Donahue knocked in her second kill during the run and the Seahawks had draw within one, 18-17. The teams exchanged points then Salve went on another 5-0 run to take a 23-20 lead. The Nor'easters weren't done though; getting two kills first from Molly Camelo (Melrose, Mass.) then two from Rene Roggenbuck (Goffstown, N.H.) and UNE had set-point, 24-20. Two more errors however gave set-point to the Seahawks and Andee Bender (Lebanon, Conn.) capped off a 16-6 run for the Seahawks with a kill to take the third set, a 2-1 lead, and shift the momentum of the match.
