CCC Track and Field Athlete of the Week: Erin Gunther

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 15, 2019) -- The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior Erin Gunther (Sayville, N.Y.) as its Field Athlete of the Week for women's track and field (April 8-14).

CCC Field Athlete of the Week - Gunther qualified for the New England Championships this weekend at the Penmen Relays. She finished third in the triple jump at the meet with a distance of 11.12 meters (36'5.75").

This is the fourth accolade for Gunther this season as she was also the Field Athlete of the Week (March 25-31) and a member of the Seahawk relay team twice honored by the league. Salve Regina breaks for Easter before returning to action at the CCC Championships on April 27 in Portsmouth, R.I.
