CCC Relay Team of the Week: Salve Regina

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University's 4x100 relay team as its team of the week for women's track and field.

CCC Relay Team of the Week - The Salve Regina 4x400 meter relay team took first place at the inaugural CCC Women's Track and Field Championship. They ran the race in 4:13.44. The team was made up of senior Devin Smith (Ipswich, Mass.), sophomore Madison Stanley (Warwick, R.I.), freshmen Molly Powers (Mahwah, N.J.), and Maggie McCarthy (Yorktown, Heights, N.Y.).

The Seahawks compete in the New England Championships this weekend (hosted by MIT). In addition to its relay teams (4x100, 4x400), Salve Regina also has individuals qualified in several events - 10,000m for Alex Demeo (Burlington, Mass.) and Olivia Owen (Weymouth, Mass.), Long Jump for Madison Yurgaitis (Somers, Conn.), Triple Jump for Erin Gunther (Sayville, N.Y.), Smith and Stanley, and 400m Hurdles for Natalie Kopiec (Manchester, Conn.).
