FitzPatrick, Gaspard, Gorman named captains for women's tennis
NEWPORT, R.I. (August 29, 2019) -- Salve Regina University first-year head coach Adam Zaccara '95 has announced three seniors as his captains for the 2019-20 women's tennis season - Shealyn FitzPatrick (South Windsor, Conn.), Priscilla Gaspard (Brockton, Mass.), and Lily Gorman (South Yarmouth, Mass.).
"Shealyn, Priscilla, and Lily each brings a unique set of strengths that complement each other, and will help lead our 11-member squad in both fall and spring competition," says Zaccara.
The trio has combined for eight years experience on the collegiate hard courts, while also part of the squad that hosts an annual doubles tournament on the historic grass courts of the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport. Salve Regina opens its 2019-20 season at home against Rhode Island College on Monday, September 9, before hosting Curry College on Saturday, September 14, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opener for the Seahawks.
