NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its all-conference teams for women's tennis Tuesday afternoon with two Salve Regina University freshmen on the list - Lauren Harvey (Edmond, Okla.) and Makenzie Sadler (Mystic, Conn.) - for both singles and doubles.

Harvey plays in the top two spots on the team, No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles; Sadler joins her classmate at No. 1 doubles and handles opposing players at No. 2 singles.

The dynamic duo has led Salve Regina (5-4, 4-3 CCC) to the No. 4 seed in the conference postseason. Harvey has a 6-3 mark in singles play with her only defeats against the top players from the top three schools - including the Player of the Year from No. 1 seed and defending champion Nichols College, Amarie Settiwongse. Harvey's losses at Gordon and against Endicott (Nos. 3 and 2 seeds, respectively) came on back-to-back days last month (Sept. 19 and 20), and were decided by third-set tiebreaks.

Harvey and Sadler have been doubles partners from the start, competing in No. 1 spot in all dual matches as well as at the 35th annual Women's Grass Court Doubles Championship hosted by the Seahawks at the Tennis Hall of Fame. For their first foray on grass, Harvey and Sadler opened with two victories to reach the Flight A Championship. Overall, they are 8-4 in doubles action, including a 4-3 mark against CCC foes.

Sadler has posted a 5-4 overall mark against No. 2 opponents in singles, including a perfect 2-0 against non-league foes. This marks the first time since 2003 that the Seahawks have placed at least two first-year players on the All-CCC teams. See the full list of this year's players here.

Salve Regina, which has won the Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Tennis Championships a record 13 times, hosts No. 5 seed Roger Williams University on Wednesday, October 10 (2 p.m.) in a CCC quarterfinal.
