Scots blank Seahawks 3-0

WENHAM, Mass. - The Gordon College women's soccer team defeated Salve Regina 3-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon.

Calla Ashley scored for the Scots in the 11th and 24th minutes for a 2-0 lead at the break then Sarah Sierzenga netted the Scots final goal in the 89th.

Gordon held a 21-5 edge in shots and 8-3 advtantage in corner kicks.

Reagan Moffatt made four saves in the first half, suffering the loss to fall to 4-4 in net, while Georgia Drake stopped two shots.

Tori Paine did not face a shot on goal and improves to 4-1 between the pipes for the Scots.

Salve Regina (4-6-1, 1-1-1 CCC) returns to action at home on Wednesday, October 5, versus UMass Boston in a non-conference matchup at 4 p.m.
