NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2018 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and major award winners Friday afternoon. All nine CCC teams were represented on this year's list with Salve Regina University placing senior Abby McMackin (Walpole, Mass.), junior Kayla McLaughlin (East Hampton, Conn.), and sophomore Jamie Robert (Holyoke, Mass) on the all-conference squad.

Voting for the All-CCC Teams and major awards was conducted by the nine CCC head women's soccer coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.

McMackin ranks second in the league in goals (14) and points (32) and has also racked up five multi-goal games this season. Her 38 career goals rank third all-time in school history behind only Kaitlyn Birrell (74) and Liz Galla (39). McMackin is one of only five Seahawks to have 30-plus goals in a career. Her 10 career game-winning goals are second only to Birrell (17). McMackin, Rookie of the Year in the league in 2015, earned All-CCC honors all four seasons.

Salve Regina has scored 27 goals from nine different players in 14 games; only Jamie Robert (6) and Abby McMackin have more than one goal on the season. Robert earned CCC Rookie of the Week honors twice this season (Sept. 3-9; Sept. 24-30). Two of Robert's six goals were game-winners - Sept. 8 against Rhode Island College, and Sept. 29 against Western New England University.

McLaughlin coordinated a Seahawk defense in front of senior goalkeeper Carly Pala (Milford, Conn.) during a seven-win regular season that included two shutouts. She earns her first appearance on an all-conference squad.

The Seahawks (7-7-0, 4-4-0 CCC) earned the No. 6 seed in the conference postseason and will play at No. 3 University of New England on Sunday, October 28, at noon in quarterfinal action.
