QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback to Salve Regina on a drizzly Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Lions sink to 3-7-0 on the year and 0-4-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the loss. The win elevates the Seahawks to 6-4-1 overall and 2-2-0 in league contests.

The visitors got on the board early with the match's lone goal. Delany Maxell netted her second goal of the season after Ella Rath slipped a pass behind the defense to setup Maxell's score. Eastern Nazarene fired five shots in the opening stanza while Salve Regina attempted six.

In the second half, the Seahawks controlled the bulk of possession and stifled the Lions' offensive opportunities to secure their second conference win of the fall. The home side produced six shots on the day while the guests manufactured 15 shots in the game. Senior Katherine Lawrence (Marlborough, Conn.) launched a team-high three shots on the day, including a pair of attempts on frame.

Anastasia Swift (Morrisville, Vt.) registered five saves between the sticks for Eastern Nazarene. Carly Pala and Morgan McBrier combined in net to post Salve Regina's fifth shutout of the year.
