NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior Erin McCullough (Ludlow, Mass.) scored her seventh goal of the season to tie the score in the first half, 1-1, with Wentworth Institute of Technology, but Leopard junior Olivia Moore (Salem, Conn.) broke loose for the game-winner late in the second half to give the visitors a 2-1 victory in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

Moore scored her conference-leading 14th and 15th goals for the Leopard tallies. In the 26th minute, she maneuvered past Seahawk defenders to strike her shot over Carly Montgomery's (Malverne, N.Y.) outstretched hands, putting Wentworth (6-8-3; 4-8-1 CCC) on the board with a 1-0 lead.

McCullough responded before the end of the first period. Coming down the left side, she got ahead of the Leopard defender and with her left foot tied the game at 1-1 in the 38th minute.

Despite constant attention, Moore kept the pressure on as her teammates kept finding her and delivering passes. She had nine shots in the game.

The game-winner came in the 81st minute when Moore beat Montgomery one-on-one following a feed from freshman Mykaela Scarpace (Marlborough, Conn.). Sophomore Miranda Stuckey (Lafayette, Ind.) made four saves for her third victory of the season. Montgomery had eight stops in the loss.

The win moves Wentworth into a tie with University of New England for fourth place while Salve Regina (3-13-1; 1-6-0 CCC) clings to a slight playoff chance if it beats Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday afternoon and Curry College (1-6-1 CCC) loses to Nichols on Tuesday.
