Seahawks claim Continental Bowl Championship
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Salve Regina University club women's rugby team captured the 2019 New England Collegiate Rugby Cup Continental Bowl championship, defeating St. Michael's College 88-22.
The Seahawks were led by Gabi Hillner's seven tries and Erin Gunther's four tries and nine conversions. Lots of effort was put forth by both veteran players and new rookies who got to see the field, some for the first time. It was a good end the fall season. The Seahawks will be back in the Spring to compete in a 7s season for the first time.
