NEWPORT, R.I. - For the second consecutive season the Salve Regina University women's lacrosse team will host Gordon College in the quarterfinal round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) playoffs.

  • Framingham totaled 14 first-half goals and that was enough to best the Seahawks.
  • The Rams closed the first stanza with an 11-1 spurt to take control of the game and head into the break leading 14-4.
  • The Seahawks were led by two goals and an assist from Katie Kline, while Maddie Villareal, Tilton and Megan Grier tallied two goals apiece.

  • Katelyn Dyer and Paige Thompson led the Scots in scoring with four goals appiece as they fell in a back-and-forth game with the Golden Bears.
  • Dyer scored four goals, won four draw controls, and grabbed three ground balls.
  • Thompson tied her career-high with four goals, dished out two assists, and tied her career-best with three caused turnovers.
  • Gretta Moore led the team with six draw controls and also scored three goals. 
  • Molly Guthrie led the team with four ground balls and four caused turnovers.

  • The Scots and Seahawks met in last season's quarterfinals with Gordon prevailing 13-12 in overtime.
    • The Scots had the only possession of overtime and did not want to give Salve Regina a chance in the extra frame. Brenna Peterson won the draw to begin overtime, then 57 seconds later Olivia McCarrick found Anna Rourke free in front and she buried the game-winner for the Scots.
  • Sophomore Maddie Villareal leads the Seahawks in goals scored (42) and is already just three goals away from 100 in her career.
    • Villareal was named a First Team All-CCC attack.
    • Villareal ranks eighth in total points in the CCC (55; 42g 13a).
  • Senior Katie Kline leads the Seahawks in draw control wins (77) and ranks sixth in the CCC.
    • Kline was named a First Team All-CCC midfielder.
    • Kline was named the Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year for the CCC.
    • Kline became the 11th player in program history to top 100 career goals this season. She currently has 115 goals in 59 games played as a Seahawk.
  • Lindsey Smith leads the team in caused turnovers (32) and ranks sixth in the CCC.
  • Freshman goalie Christina Myers made the third most saves in the CCC (167) and has the second best save percentage (50.9).
  • Gabrielle Majenski made the switch from midfield to defense during the season and earned herself a spot on the Third Team All-CCC list.
