MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – Roger Williams used a five-goal running spanning both halves to hand the Salve Regina women's lacrosse team its second Commonwealth Coast Conference loss of the season with a 15-8 victory at Gaudet Field.

With just over two minutes to go in the first half, Roger Williams scored three straight goals from junior Danielle Neagle (Avon, Conn.), sophomores Kristen Pingree (Georgetown, Mass.) and Mackenzie Logan (Sussex, N.J.) to give the Hawks a 7-3 lead at halftime. Pingree and sophomore Kelsey Rahilly (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) tacked on two more goals in the first three minutes of the second to push the visitor's lead to 9-3.

Freshman Abigail Tepper (Foxboro, Mass.) cut into the Hawks lead with her ninth goal of the season with 25:08 to play in the second half before Roger Williams kicked off a four-goal spree spanning just under seven minutes of action that feature three goals from Rahilly.

Sophomore Sarah Woods (East Lyme, Conn.) ended Roger Williams' spree with her ninth goal of the year off a free position shot with 11:32 left in the half before sophomore Sarah Davenport (Bethel, Conn.) answered with her first of the game off a pass from Rahilly.

Salve Regina scored two more to cut the lead to 14-7 with 3:31 to play. Freshman Holly Duddy (Plymouth, Mass.) scored on an unassisted shot before freshman Lisa Pulie (Trumbull, Conn.) converted on a free position shot while the Seahawks were up a man.

With just 54 seconds left, Davenport scored the Hawks final goal of the game. Senior Jennifer Jones (Basking Ridge, N.J.) scored the game's final goal with just 24 seconds to go to bring the score to its final, 15-8.

Woods and sophomore Gina Tortorici (Deer Park, N.Y.) sandwiched scored the Seahawks first two goals of the game, but Neagle answered each of Salve Regina's goals to tie the game at 2-2 with 16:25 to play in the first half. Pingree and junior Jessica Searl (Gastorbury, Conn.) added two more for Roger Williams to push its lead to 4-2 with 7:44 left in the first. Junior Alyssa Corvi (Barrington, R.I.) scored the final Seahawk goal of the opening half with 2:17 to play before the Hawks went on their five-goal run.

Woods was the only Seahawk with a multiple goal game while Neagle and Pingree each had a hat trick for Roger Williams and Rahilly led the game with four tallies.

Salve Regina returns to the field when the Seahawks travel to Endicott on April 6 for a 12 p.m. start in CCC action.
