Providence, R.I.- Sophomore Sarah Woods (East Lyme, Conn.) posted a career-high four goals as she led the Salve Regina women's lacrosse team to an 18-11 win over Rhode Island College. The victory snaps a three-game skid for the Seahawks. 

The 18 goals were a season-high for the Seahawks (2-4), who snapped a three-game losing streak with the win. Rhode Island College falls to 2-2 with the loss, snapping its two-game winning streak.

 Salve Regina scored three goals in the first 10 minutes, courtesy of sophomore defender Woods, junior midfielder Grace Kelly (Auburn, N.Y.), and senior attacker Jennifer Jones (Basking Ridge, N.J.), to take an early lead before Ricci got on the board for RIC with 19:39 left in the half.
 
However, the Seahawks countered with four consecutive goals, two from freshman midfielder Abigail Tepper (Foxboro, Mass.), one from Woods and one from freshman attacker Lisa Pulie (Trumbull, Conn.), to head into the intermission with a 7-1 lead.
 
In the second half, the Anchorwomen stormed out of the break with back-to-back goals from Ricci and Signoriello to cut the deficit to four. After Woods and Pulie tacked on scores to jump ahead, 9-3, Ricci added another score to trim the margin to five with 22:11 left to play.
Yet, the Seahawks continued their sharp offensive play, outscoring Rhode Island College, 9-5, over the next 17 minutes to jump ahead of the Anchorwomen, 18-8. Ricci and Signoriello each scored for RIC in the final five minutes, but it was too little, too late for the hosts.
Woods led the Seahawks in scoring with four goals, while Tepper added three goals and three assists. Sophomore midfielder Gina Tortorici (Deer Park, N.Y.) chipped in with three goals and four assists of her own, while Kelly and Jones each finished with two goals and one assist. Pulie posted a pair of goals as well. 

Woods also added a pair of caused turnovers for Salve Regina, Tortorici corralled a team-high five draw controls. Senior defender Danielle Malconian (Belmont, Mass.) and junior defender Kayla Sheehan (Pomfret, Conn.) led the Seahawks in ground balls with three each. 

Junior midfielder Jessalyn O'Neill (North Providence, R.I.) notched a goal for RIC, while sophomore midfielder Harmony Tillison (Cranston, R.I.) led the Anchorwomen with three caused turnovers and four ground balls. Ricci and Signoriello each finished with three draw controls to lead RIC in that regard.

 Junior goalkeeper Josephine O'Reilly (Middletown, R.I.) earned the win (2-2) and made 11 saves along the way, while junior goalkeeper Taryn Carbone (Cranston, R.I.) made 12 saves and fell to 2-2 with the loss. 

The Seahawks outshot the Anchorwomen, 42-27, on the day, which included a 27-9 disparity in the first half.

Salve Regina returns to action when the Seahawks host Roger Williams at Gaudet Field on April 2. The opening draw is set for 6 p.m.
