MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Visiting Connecticut College scored four goals in four minutes of the second period and six unanswered goals total the remainder of the game to defeat the Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team 8-2 in non-conference action Tuesday night.

Turning Point
Shwartz tied the game 2-2 for Salve Regina at 7:00 of the second period, but just 100 seconds later the Camels retook the lead when Caroline O'Keefe (Winthrop, Mass.) snapped home a deflected puck. It proved to be the game-winning goal, however the Camels would score three more times to cap a four-goal spurt in four minutes to lead 6-2 at the second intermission. The Camels added two more scores in the third to round out six unanswered goals to close the game.

• Courtney Peyko (Grand Isle, Vt.) made four saves to pick up her first win of the season (1-0-0) before Abby Wieczorek (Winnetka, Ill.) came on and made six saves in relief.
• Madison Jalbert (Beverly, Mass.) made 18 saves in the loss (1-7-0) and was lifted for Hailey Martin (Berkley, Mass.) in the second period who made 11 saves in her first appearance of the season.
• Salve Regina led 1-0 in the game off the first goal of the season from Mikayla Anderson (University Place, Wash.). 
• Lauren Helm's two goals both came in the first period to help the Camels take a 2-1 lead.
• The Camels owned a 37-12 advantage in shots, holding the Seahawks to just four shots in each period.
• Neither team could capitalize on the powerplay. Salve Regina went 0-for-3 on the powerplay while the Camels were 0-for-2 with their chances.
