MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Reigning Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Champions, Morrisville State College was selected to repeat in the 2018-19 Preseason Coaches Poll.

Votes were compiled based on rankings submitted by league coaches. The Mustangs received six out of a possible seven first-place votes for 48 total points, edging out Endicott College (43 points) who received the other first-place votes. CHC newcomers, University of New England,  rounded out the top three, receiving 28 total points in the rankings.

Nichols College  (26 points), SUNY Canton (20 points), Salve Regina University (19 points) and Becker College (12 points) finished fourth through seventh respectively.

The season kicks off this weekend with all  seven teams in non-conference action. League play begins the following weekend with all teams scheduled to play a home-and-home series against each other.

Salve Regina will start their 2018-19 campaign by hosting a weekend series against William Smith. The first game will be on Friday, October 26, at 7 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m., start on Saturday October 27.
