Two seniors and a junior tabbed as Captains for 2017-18

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University women's ice hockey head coach Beth McCann has announced Erica Bonnette-Lykens (Swanton, Vt.), Taylor Chisholm (Discovery Bay, Calif.), and Meredith Peppes (Lincoln, R.I.) as team captains for the 2017-18 season.

Bonnete-Lykens and Peppes are both senior defenseman while Chisholm is a junior forward. All three are first-time captains. 

In 2016-17 Chisholm was the team's second-leading scorer, notching nine goals and nine assists and had the team's highest plus/minus with a +7.

Bonnette-Lykens scored her first two career goals last season and was second on the team for assists with six while Peppes recorded five assists.

"This trio brings great leadership, passion and vision on and off the ice and will continue to build a solid foundation for Salve women's ice hockey," said head coach Beth McCann.

The Seahawks open the 2017-18 season with back-to-back road matches against William Smith on October 27 and 28.
