  • Salve Regina and Manhattanville face each other for the 28th in program history Friday evening. 
  • The Valiants hold a 24-3 all time lead in the series, however the two teams are 2-2 in the last four games. 
  • Salve Regina looks to take the first season series sweep in the rivalry as the Seahawks defeated the Valiants 3-2 earlier this year. 
  • The Seahawks earned their first win over Manhattanville with a 1-0 victory onn March 7, 2009.
  • Two of the three Seahawk wins came in Purchase, N.Y. as Salve Regina has defeated the Valiants just once on its home ice on Feb. 10, 2012. 
  • All of Salve Regina's victories in the series have come on one-goal advantages.

  • Salve Regina and Nichols have faced each other 11 times before with Salve Regina holding a 10-0-1 lead in the series.
  • The Seahawks defeated the Bison 7-2 earlier this season for their third straight win in the series.

  • Returning for the Seahawks are three of the top scorers from a year ago, all breaking the 20-point mark for the season. Juniors Sarah Markey (26 points • 10g, 16a), Taylor Shepherd (24 points • 12g, 12a), and Michaela Chiuccariello (23 points • 13g, 10a) look to lead the Seahawk offense once again.
  • Leading the Seahawks this season is sophomore Danielle Phalon with 25 points (11g, 14a) on the season. 
  • Chiuccariello (24 pts • 13g, 11a), Markey (21 pts • 11g, 10a), and Shepherd (20 pts • 8g, 12a) all have at least 20 points this season for the Seahawks. 
  • Chiuccariello leads the team with 13 goals on the year. 
  • Shepherd leads the team with four game-winning goals. 
  • Manhattanville boasts a trio of junior 20+ point scorers this season -  Sydney Asselstine (27 pts • 15g, 12a), Michele Meggiolaro (23 pts • 7g, 16a) and Alla Traum (22 pts • 10g, 12a). 
  • Meggiolaro leads the Valiants with 16 assists while Asselstine leads the team with 15 goals. 
  • Junior Grace Murphy leads the Bison with 20 points on the season (13g, 7a). 
  • Hohmann leads the team with eight assists on the year.

  • Salve Regina saw its nine-game unbeaten streak snapped by Saint Anselm on Feb. 8. 
  • In the last 10 games, the Seahawks are 7-1-2. 
  • Over tthe 10 games, Salve Regina won five straight.
  • In the 10 game streak, Chiuccariello and Phalon each posted 13 points, with Chiuccariello leading the team with nine goals and Phalon adding nine assists.

  • Salve Regina head coach Michael Cox enters his eighth season as the winningest coach in the history of the program (87-86-15; .503).
  • His teams have made the ECAC Women's East playoffs all seven seasons with Cox at the helm.

  • Salve Regina ranks fifth in the 2013-14 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's East preseason coaches' poll (94 points).

  • Rachel Porter graduated as the program's all-time leading point scorer (102 points • 45g, 57a) last spring.
  • Current Seahawks Sarah Markey (33g, 31a) and Michaela Chiuccariello (32g, 32a) are tied for fourth all-time at Salve Regina with 64 career points. 
  • Taylor Shepherd is seventh with 58 points (29g, 29a).
  • Markey is fourth in the program with 33 career goals while Chiuccariello is fifth with 32 goals. Shepherd is seventh with 29 goals. Caitlin Campbell holds the Seahawk record with 53 goals from 2005 to 2009.
  • Muehlbronner recorded the most wins (32) of any goaltender in Seahawk history.
