  • Neumann has the edge in the all-time series, 2-1-1.
  • Salve Regina won the last meeting between the two schools, 3-2, in Aston, Pa.
  • Taylor Shepherd, Molly O'Sullivan both scored first-period power-play goals and Danielle Phalon added a score in the second period for a 3-0 Seahawk advantage. Ali Muehlbronner finished with 21 saves in Salve Regina's first-ever win over the Knights.

  • The Seahawks finished the regular season with an 11-7-0 mark in conference play and earned their fourth straight first-round home playoff game (coincidentally, against a different opponent each year).
SCORING LEADERS
  • Returning for the Seahawks are three of the top scorers from a year ago, all breaking the 20-point mark for the season. Juniors Sarah Markey (26 points • 10g, 16a), Taylor Shepherd (24 points • 12g, 12a), and Michaela Chiuccariello (23 points • 13g, 10a) look to lead the Seahawk offense once again.
  • Edie Brenning (21 points • 10g, 11a) and Angela Gilmour (16 points • 6g, 10a) were the top two scorers in 2012-13 for the Knights and return for their senior campaign.

  • Salve Regina plays its next three games on the road.
  • Next Saturday (November 9) the Seahawks are in Worcester, Mass., for their 26th meeting with Holy Cross Crusaders.

  • Current Seahawks Sarah Markey and Michaela Chiuccariello rank sixth (45) and seventh (43) respectively as both enter their junior campaigns.
  • Markey (23) and Shepherd (22) rank fifth and sixth, respectively, in all-time goals scored. Caitlin Campbell holds the Seahawk record with 53 goals from 2005 to 2009.
  • Muehlbronner recorded the most wins (32) of any goaltender in Seahawk history.
