Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - Endicott College junior Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) scored a game-high 23 points as the Gulls defeated Salve Regina University, 63-53, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's basketball action at the Rodgers Recreation Center. Both teams had three players in double figures as Seahawk sophomore Mary Rorke (Norton, Mass.) led Salve Regina (9-12, 5-7 CCC) with 17 points including three 3-pointers.

Series and Streaks
Salve Regina leads the all-time series, 18-15, while the teams have split the season series each of the last three years. The Seahawks had defeated the Gulls, 62-61, earlier this month for the only conference setback on the Endicott (14-6, 10-1 CCC) ledger. Endicott has now won four straight since Salve Regina's one-point triumph.

  1. Endicott junior Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) scored a game-high 23 points on six of 13 from the floor including four 3-pointers; she also shared game-high rebound honors (eight) with Salve Regina senior Lauryn Becker (Hanover, Mass.).
  2. Salve Regina sophomore Mary Rorke (Norton, Mass.) led the Seahawks with 17 points including three 3-pointers.
  3. Endicott junior Kaleigh Putnam (Wallingford, Conn.) had 16 points on five field goals and six free throws.

After three lead changes and two ties (all in the first half), Salve Regina trailed by just two (41-39) following a Mary Rorke jumper with 6:47 left in the fourth quarter. Pratt hit back-to-back 3-pointers, then added her final trey at 3:00 for a nine-point cushion (54-45).
