The Seahawks closed the gap to five (17-12) a minute later, but UNE would hold the hosts scoreless over the ensuing 11:14 on its way to a 28-14 lead at intermission.

Salve Regina got as close as seven (39-32) midway through the second frame before the visitors responded with a 10-3 surge to get the lead back up to 14 at 49-35. Coleman and Vose combined for all 10 points during the run to help put the game out of reach.
