- Head coach Cori Hughes: "It's a new season come playoff time, and past results mean nothing now. Curry is a tough and talented team, and it's always a battle when we face them. We need to make some adjustments on both ends of the floor to shore up offensively and defensively. Then, we have to show up, and play hard and smart for 40 minutes."
- Salve Regina has reached the CCC finals three straight seasons, winning in 2011 and 2012.
- Salve Regina leads, 43-15, in a series that began in 1983.
