Bio

Jannelle Iaquinto begins her fourth season at Salve Regina. She has guided the Seahawks to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament in each of her first three seasons, capturing the 2017 conference championship and berth to the NCAA Tournament. The 2017 Coach of the Year has produced 19 All CCC Selections, 6 NFCA All-Academic players, the 2017 Player of the year, 3 NFCA All-Region players and achieved national rankings in stolen bases.

Iaquinto came to Salve Regina after spending two seasons coaching at Division I Marist College where she helped the Red Foxes achieve their best season in program history. Marist won a program-record 45 games in 2016, and captured both the MAAC regular-season and tournament championships (Knoxville, TN). Seven players on the 2016 roster ranked in the top 100, one a national top 10 finalist for Rookie of the Year. She previously held coaching positions at Merrimack College, Suffolk University, Emerson College and Lesley University.

In her playing career, Iaquinto pitched for Siena College for three seasons (2004-05, 2007). Before that she closed out her high school career at Arlington Catholic as the school's all-time leader in strikeouts (647). During her stellar career, the 2-time captain was recognized on the Boston Globe All-League team as well as the Boston Herald All-Scholastic team.
