SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University junior Elizabeth Lombardo (Thomaston, Conn.) as its Player of the Week for softball (April 2- 8).

Player of the Week - Lombardo had an outstanding week at the plate and in the infield. In six games at the plate, she went a combined 10-for-20 (.500) hitting. While showing off her extra-base power by hitting three doubles and one homerun to account for seven runs batted in. In a game against the University of New England, she scored the game-tying run in the sixth, drove in the game-tying runs in the seventh, and scored the game-winning run on a walk-off double by teammate Amanda Riley (Barrington, N.H.). On the week her fielding was flawless. She had 14 total chances and was errorless with them, finishing with a fielding percentage of 1.000.
