SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Salve Regina University placed 80 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference Spring Academic All-CCC Team, second-most in the conference, including junior Kerri Beland (No. Attleboro, Mass.) who represented the Seahawks on two sports (women's basketball and women's lacrosse).

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University junior softball shortstop Amanda Riley (Barrington, N.H.) has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) All-New England Region Team.

The first-ever McAuley Cup was given in honor of Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy - who founded Salve Regina, to the 2017-18 Salve Regina men's ice hockey team.

MANSFIELD, Conn. – Salve Regina University scored the go-ahead run with a ground ball in the top of the eighth inning of the first game, then hit five home runs in the nightcap in sweeping a non-conference doubleheader from Eastern Connecticut State University, 5-4 in eight innings and 15-5, Sunday afternoon at the Eastern Softball Stadium in the Warriors’ final regular-season games.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT softball team, ranked No. 2 in the first NCAA Division III New England regional rankings, could not overcome an early 3-0 lead by Salve Regina University in game one as the Engineers saw their 20-game win streak come to an end with a 5-2 loss.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University and Endicott College went into the top of the seventh of back-to-back softball games at Toppa Field with a tie score. The Gulls won both games (7-4 and 3-2), first with a three-run seventh and second with a run in extra inning, to sweep the Seahawks in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

Lyons sweep Seahawks with late-inning rallies

NORTON, Mass. - Wheaton College softball broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning of game two with a double and single to sweep Salve Regina University. Earlier, the Lyons had scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning of game one to defeat the Seahawks, 7-1.

Andi Nelson worked eight innings in game two for her sixth victory of the year.

WENHAM, Mass. - Freshman pitched Andi Nelson (Candia, N.H.) hurled eight innings and allowed just two runs as Salve Regina University softball came from behind to defeat Gordon College, 4-2, in extra innings, and salvage a split of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader.

Jaycee Garrigan pitched a complete game and drove in two runs as part of a sweep over Eastern Nazarene College.
Seahawks sweep Lions with pair of comeback wins

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University softball improved to 8-2 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play with a sweep over visiting Eastern Nazarene College. The Seahawks trailed to begin each game, but rallied back to take the lead in each. A complete game effort from Jaycee Garrigan (Uxbridge, Mass.) in game one and 6.1 innings of work and seven strikeouts from Andi Nelson (Candia, N.H.) in game two helped the Seahawks to their fourth straight win.
