CCC Pitcher of the Week: Kelsey Boarman

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior Kelsey Boarman (No. Dighton, Mass.) as its pitcher of the week for softball (April 10-16).

Pitcher of the Week - Boarman made four appearances in the circle this week and posted a 0.66 ERA in 21.1 innings of work. Two of those appearances were complete game victories, one against Roger Williams and the other against the University of New England. She also picked up a save in game two of the doubleheader against Roger Williams. For the week, she gave up just two earned runs and struck out 10.

"Kelsey is always ready to step up - she has been big for us in the circle," first-year head coach Jannelle Iaquinto remarked. "Her confidence and command have been a huge part of our success this week."

With her two pitching victories, Boarman (38) climbs to fourth place on the school's all-time win list.

Salve Regina (16-9, 11-1 CCC) has three conference road dates this week while hosting non-league Eastern Connecticut State University on Thursday at Toppa Field (4 p.m.).
