Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University softball honored its four seniors - Kelsey Boarman (No. Dighton, Mass.), Nikki Bukovsky (Westport, Conn.), Kara O'Riley (Acton, Mass.), and Lexi Soucie (No. Easton, Mass.) - before sweeping a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader with Nichols College (7-2 and 6-2) at Toppa Field.
Kristen Hickey (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) cracked two doubles and drove in a pair of runs in the opener behind the pitching of Boarman who scattered seven hits and allowed just two runs, improving her record to 6-3 on the season.
In the second game, Amanda Riley (Barrington, N.H.) went three-for-three with a solo homer, her second of the season, to support the five-hit pitching of freshman Kaleigh Dwyer (East Brunswick, N.J.) who improved to 2-4 on the season.

The Seahawks own a 35-17-1 mark in the all-time series which includes wins in the last seven meetings, 11 of the last 12, and 17 of the last 19.
Three Seahawk Stars of the Day
- Junior infielder Kristen Hickey (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) collected three hits and three RBI on the day including a pair of doubles in the opener. She added a sacrifice fly in game two.
- Sophomore infielder Amanda Riley (Barrington, N.H.) started as the designated player in game two and banged out three hits including her second home run of the season, a solo shot to center in the third.
- Junior infielder Francesca Galeazzi (Lynn, Mass.) reached base five times on three singles and two walks. She stole four bases and scored two runs.

Salve Regina stole a dozen bases in the sweep, six in each game.
