CCC Pitcher of the Week: Kelsey Boarman

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior Kelsey Boarman (No. Dighton, Mass.) as its pitcher of the week for softball (March 20-26).

Pitcher of the Week - Boarman tossed a complete-game, three-hit shutout as Salve Regina (defending league champions) opened its CCC slate with an 8-0 victory over visiting Gordon College. Boarman struck out a season-high nine Scots (more than double her previous season-high) and improved her record to 5-3 on the season.

Salve Regina (6-7, 2-0 CCC) has won nine straight against Gordon. The Seahawks return to action on Thursday when they travel to Biddeford, Maine, for a re-scheduled doubleheader with the Nor'easters of the University of New England.
