Seahawks compete at MIT and Brown

NEWPORT, R.I. - Senior skippers and co-captains JP Silvestri and Shannon Killian finish 16th and 17th in their respective divisions at the highly competitive Oberg regatta held at MIT. They have been preparing and practicing relentlessly for the fall championship to be held at MIT next weekend.

The fresman skipper/crew combination of Sam Shannon/Jennifer Killian showed great promise at the Hoyt Trophy intersectional regatta, hosted by Brown University. They routinely found themselves near the top of the 18-boat fleet of top college sailing teams from across the nation. Coach Ingalls commented that "with a little more time in the boat, the duo will be top contenders in the world of college sailing!"
