Sailing #4 - Seahawks do the Charleston (February 21, 2015)
NEWPORT, R.I. - After capturing the Peter Wenner Rainbow Regatta in Hawaii last month (January), the Salve Regina University sailing program returned to the east coast to continue its spring schedule. With spring not officially on the calendar, the Seahawks traveled to slightly warmer climate in Charleston, S.C., and escaped the snow of New England.
On the strength of its "A" division team, Baillie Lawless (Rochester, N.Y.) and JP Silvestri (Stuart, Fla.), scoring 128 points, the Seahawks broke a tie with Eckerd College to claim 12th place out of 18 schools. The College of Charleston served as the official host for the regatta.
