Seahawk sailors consistent with top-level finishes

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. - After battling through a tough winter, Salve Regina sailing saw the start of spring as it competed against 15 other schools across New England. Sailing at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the two Seahwak teams finished sixth and ninth.

Leading the Seahawks' A team was JP Silvestri, Angelina Todaro, Chris Jensen, and Hayden McGuire with nearly half of their races coming in the top three finishes. Silvestri and Todaro once again had a lights out day on Sunday, with a total of six points across the four races. Jensen and McGuire backed up their efforts with nine races in the top half of the fleet in B division.

"I was excited to see such consistent numbers across our two teams," commented coach Michael Komar. "Sailing on a pond can lead to varied results and our teams were able to make the best of some bad shifts."

The Seahawks have a big weekend coming up sailing at three events across New England. Testing the team's depth, Salve Regina sailing will once again attempt to show that it belongs amongst the nations best teams.
