Seahawks win academic honors from USTFCCCA

The Salve Regina men’s and women’s cross country teams were recognized as All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or better to qualify for the USTFCCCA award.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Senior captain Sean Hughes (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and junior captain Billy Martin (West Islip, N.Y.) led Salve Regina to an improved finish in the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championship on Saturday. The Seahawks placed 26th of 40 teams, up five spots from 2014.
