CCC Runner of Week: Sean Hughes

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected junior Sean Hughes (Old Saybrook, Conn.) as its Runner of the Week for men's cross country (August 25-31).

Runner of the Week - Hughes led the Seahawks with a top 10 individual finish at the Mayflower Kickoff at New England College. Hughes settled into sixth place in the opening mile and held his ground throughout the 5K race. He finished in 17:09 and was the top Commonwealth Coast Conference runner in the meet.

Salve Regina finished fourth out of 10 schools in the season-opening event. The Seahawks will run in the Trinity Invitational on Saturday, September 6, at Hartford, Conn.
