Elster repeats as Scholar All-Region

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior Jordan Elster (Sutton, Mass.) repeats his selection to the Scholar All-Region team as recently announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Monday.

Elster, a right back, assisted on four Seahawk goals in a season where Salve Regina finished with its best record ever (16-1-3). He also repeated as an All-Region performer on the field for the second straight year, while claiming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) first team honors, with the Seahawks matching the Gulls of Endicott College for the regular-season crown.

CCC head coaches voted Elster as the league's Senior Scholar Athlete and he later added a selection to College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District® to his résumé.

Salve Regina head coach Craig O'Rourke II, the conference's Coach of the Year, praises Elster:

"(To) win it for a second year in row is a very fitting end to his storied four-year career. Jordan is the absolute epitome of a true student-athlete."
