NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's soccer player Donald Igo (Needham, Mass.) earned Third Team All-American honor from the United Soccer Coaches organization.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year led his league in points (38), finished second in goals (14) and assists (10), while helping the Seahawks to their best winning percentage ever (16-1-3; .875). Igo earned first-team all-conference honors as well as first-team all-region, also from United Soccer Coaches.

"He is nothing short of the rarest thing in the sport of college soccer, a true goal scorer," says Salve Regina head coach Craig O'Rourke II of Igo. "Since making that decision (Igo coming to Salve Regina in 2017), he has developed himself into one of the most dominant offensive threats and playmakers in our conference as well as the entire New England region. Having him play along side both (Evan) MacDonald and (Owen) Stevenson has made our front three, and overall team-attacking shape, one of the most potent in the region, and has made each of them a more dangerous and capable player."
