CCC Offensive Player of the Week: Matthew O'Donnell

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior midfielder Matthew O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) as its Offensive Player of the Week for men's soccer (Sept. 17-23).

Offensive Player of the Week - O'Donnell led Salve Regina to a 1-0-1 week scoring a hat trick on Wednesday (Sept. 19) to push the Seahawks to a win over Coast Guard with a final score of 3-0. O'Donnell is the first Salve Regina men's soccer player to score a hat trick since 2015.

Salve Regina (7-0-1, 1-0-1 CCC) has its second-best start ever to a season (2012 started 8-0-0) and plays a pair of home games this week - Wed., Sept. 26 versus Massachusetts Maritime Academy (3:30 p.m.) and Sat., Sept. 29 versus Western New England University (3 p.m.).
