NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University men's soccer team has been chosen to finish fifth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in a poll of the league's 10 coaches.

The Seahawks have not lost in CCC postseason play since 2011. After winning the title in 2012, Salve Regina men's soccer has been eliminated in conference playoffs on PKs after back-to-back scoreless draws in CCC quarterfinals.

"The 2015 season will present several new challenges for our program as we look to return to the top of the Commonwealth Coast Conference standings," says head coach Craig O'Rourke II.

"Having graduated such a large class this past spring, we will have a very new roster as we play one of the most demanding schedules that we have ever formulated this fall. This is why our 2015 captains – Steven Aston, Kyle Knoth, and Joseph Pate – will play such a pivot role for us as their leadership and example with such a young roster will have a tremendous impact on our success this fall."

Salve Regina opens its 2015 campaign with a non-league contest at home (Reynolds Field on the Newport campus) against UMass Boston on Tuesday, September 1 (3:30 p.m.).
