SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its all-league men's soccer team today and four Salve Regina University players were voted to the squad - juniors Issa Demirgioglu (Smithfield, R.I.) and Alex Wasilewski (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) along with sophomores Andrew Chenard (Kingston, Mass.) and Joseph Pate (Smithfield, R.I.). Chenard and Pate return to the All-CCC team while Wasilewski and Demirgioglu make it for the first time.

The defending-champion Seahawks enter the conference post-season with a 7-2-1 mark in their last 10 games and have earned the fourth seed, hosting in-state rival Roger Williams University on Saturday (1 p.m.).

Pate, a first-team back, leads a Salve Regina defense that has posted shutouts in its last three games and seven in its last nine games. He started all 16 games in which he's played. In a 2-0 win against University of New England on October 5, Pate provided an assist on the game's second goal from
Devin L'Heureux.

Wasilewski, a second-team forward, leads the Seahawks in scoring with 14 points, all from a team-best seven goals, which ranks him in the top 10 in the league in both statistics. He providing the game-winning goal in a pair of 1-0 victories (vs. Endicott on October 12, and at Mass. Maritime on October 1) and the first game of the season, a 2-1 win against Skidmore in Roger Williams' tournament on August 31.

Demirgioglu, a second-team midfielder, captains the 2013 Seahawks along with classmate Alec Shuman. Demirgioglu had one goal and one assist on the regular season. He assisted Nicholas Carbone's game-winner against Roger Williams on September 28, and scored the game-winner against Wentworth on October 26.

Chenard earns his second straight selection as an honorable mention forward. He scored his one goal on the season in the first half against Roger Williams on September 28. He later added four assists, all in wins, including helpers in a pair of 1-0 victories (vs. Endicott on October 12, and at Eastern Nazarene on October 30).

"I am very happy to see these four young men receive the individual recognition that they deserve," says seventh-year head coach Craig O'Rourke II. "Each of them has had an outstanding season for us thus far and I appreciate the fact that the conference has bestowed this accolade upon them."

Salve Regina (9-7-2; 5-3-1 CCC) has won five of its seven games at home, Brother Michael Reynolds Field.
