Bio

Seth Funt enters his first year as a volunteer coach for the Seahawks.  Coach Funt will work with the defense, especially the long poles.  He is originally from Stony Brook, New York and attended Ward Melville HS.  He played for HOF coach Joe Cuzzo, the most winning high school coach in history, going 74-2, and winning the 1997 NYS Championship.  He graduated from The Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University in 2002.  He was a two time team captain of the Hawks and awarded All-CCC honors all 4 years.

The last 20 years, Funt has been in real estate brokerage and development in Florida.  While in FL, he was assistant coach at St. Andrews School under Jeff Goldberg, winning three FL state championships.  Funt went on to become head coach at Spanish River HS.  He coached Spanish River, with his brother Jordan Funt, to Spanish River's first consecutive divisional titles ever.

Captain Funt is an avid fisherman, holding a 100 Ton Master Captain License, and active philanthropist.  He currently lives in Bristol, RI with his wife Elizabeth and their two children Rhys & Mia where they own and operate a Sport Fishing Lodge.
