NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University men's lacrosse will play its second straight road playoff game when the team travels to face the Western New England University in the semifinal round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) playoffs.

  • Andrew Fera scored four of his five goals in the second half as the Seahawks broke a 7-7 tie to eliminate the Nor'easters.
  • Mike Mongelli (Roslyn, N.Y.) had a game-high eight ground balls to go with an assist to Fera and three caused turnovers, which were matched by Mike Sheehan (Wading River, N.Y.).
  • Matt D'Amore (Duxbury, Mass.) backstopped the result with 12 saves, and grabbed five ground balls.

  • Junior Jared Ward (Littleton, Mass.) recorded a team-high four points (three goals, one assist), while sophomores Nick Gamba (East Islip, N.Y.) and Brendan Lyons (Syosset, N.Y.) scored three goals each.
  • Junior Tim Breau (Lima, N.Y.) handed out four assists, and classmate Hunter Cocks (Walden, N.Y.) won 13-of-15 faceoffs.
  • Sophomore Sean McCusker (Northport, N.Y.) earned his second win in the cage with eight saves.
